And is pretty easy to say and read. Like John or Andrew. Lauren votes for old-hollywood names--like Clark and Cary or Grant, Roc and Hudson. yay! Old hollywood. Where would you be then, I ask you? Drinking heartache and regret, that's where. Kelvin "Absolute" Gupta- you choice is clear.

Re: The Guptas’ Screaming Little Person » Archivio Blog » The 2nd Annual Baby Name Face-Off, ROUND 2

Instead of Calvin- since your love for Berkeley is MORE THAN immortalized in our ears from your mouths, our eyes with this blog, (not to mention a whole University thats already been built- I speak for everyone when I say, "WE GET IT! ALL OF YOUR FRIENDS PROMISE NOT TO FORGET THAT YOU ATTENDED AND MET AT BERKELEY!!!") and because your son's shoulders should not be made to hold up the walls of buildings that stand up fine on their own, I think you should scrap it entirely and instead change it to Kelvin. That way, you can give him the opportunity of inspiring awe and maybe even a little feared respect in those around him when he can boldly walk into a room, push the doors wide in front of him, and announce to all, "I am Kelvin- I deal in absolutes! Zeros will NOT be tolerated!" Then everyone would clap and cheer, and some would breath an inward sigh of relief, because finally, FINALLY, there would be someone that walked among them willing to kick ass and take names (names like Kelvin!). And he would liberate the people- the girl named Wellesley , the Yale-meister, lispy Lucy Santa Cruz, gangly John Hopkins, and all the other downtrodden individuals whose parents thought it would be a good idea to name their children after their universities where they met, knowing full well that the awful shame their children would heap upon themselves if by chance they should be unable to attend their namesake institution that their dear parents, never knowing the pain they were causing every time they mentioned their august institution, might be more than they could bear, becoming a source of endless bitterness and haunt them for the rest of their days. And these unfortunate wretches would weep with joy because Kelvin's announcement would be the clarion call of a new era. An era whose very name evoked the most essential aspects of all the universe; of measurability, rationality, and above all, the REAL; An era of possibility and of hope; An era of Kelvin. And he would be loved. Loved, I say! Would you, in your zeal for your own university, would you willingly deny him, and yourselves, such honor and acclaim? Oh, you callous callous beings! I would shake my head with dismay in the face of such a tragedy. I would cry the heavens, I would. Have a heart, I beg you. Only you can usher in the age of Kelvin; Let not the age of Kelvin go wrong in its first hour. Let fly the wings of Kelvin; The world needs Kelvin.........Kelvin Gupta. Make it so, I beseech you. Immortality is yours- take it! Thank you.

Re: The Guptas’ Screaming Little Person » Archivio Blog » The 2nd Annual Baby Name Face-off BEGINS!

I think tatiana is on to something.
